[:nl]De tafel RECTOVERSO behoort in zekere zin tot de familie van de Pedestal Tables(*) uit de vroege jaren ’70. De drager van deze tafel bestaat uit een kubus die diagonaal werd doorgezaagd. Beide helften werden ontmanteld en de aldus overgebleven buitenste zijvlakken van de oorspronkelijke kubus werden terug bij mekaar gevoegd of op mekaar gestapeld. De met mekaar contrasterende kleuren illustreren het ontwikkelingsproces.

(*) de naam die Lieven Delafortrie, docent plastische kunsten aan het Hoger St.-Lukasinstituut Brussel, gaf aan een reeks tafels uit de jaren ’70.

[:en]In some ways, the RECTOVERSO table belongs to the family of Pedestal Tables(*) from the early 70’s. The tabletop is supported by a cube sawn in half along its diagonal. The halves are separated, and the outer sides of what started out as the cube are joined or stacked. The contrasting colours illustrate the development proces.
